Wine / Booze Survivor

Hello everyone! Who wants to have some FUN and WINe big?

Join us in a game of Wine / Booze Survivor! Just in time for the holidays, some lucky winners will get to stock up on alcohol of their choice.

The aim of this fundraiser is to support the Ottawa Competitive Volleyball League and reduce league fees for the 2025 - 2026 season, so please spread the word and invite your friends, family, neighbours and/or co-workers to join.

The goal of the game is to be one of the last THREE survivors!

HOW IT WORKS

PHASE 1: Registration

• A $20 entry fee is required and to be sent via email money transfer to info@ocvl.ca. Enter the Survivor name & phone number in the messages section so we can get a hold of you.
• All names will be entered into a jar for names to be drawn.
• The entry fee will be distributed as follows: $10 towards the league and $10 towards the winnings, which will be purchased on your behalf.
• Registration ends November 28^th, 2024.
• There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
• An individual is not considered registered until payment has been received in full.

PHASE 2: Elimination

• From November 29^th to December 2^nd, daily draws will be held and individuals will be eliminated or “voted off the island”.
• The number of people that will be eliminated per draw will depend on the number of registered participants.
• If your name is drawn in an elimination, you will have the chance to buy immunity for $5 but must do so before the final draw.
• "Immunity” will only be available to the people who are "voted off the island” until only the lucky THREE players remain!
• Eliminations/final draw will be completed on Dec 4^th.
• All results will be posted on our OCVL Facebook page.

RULES OF PLAY

• Participants must be 19 years of age and older to play.
• There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
• The last day of registration is November 28^th, 2024.
• The last day to purchase immunity is December 3^rd, 2024.
• No refunds will be issued.

STRATEGY

• The more entries, the better your chances of winning!
• Form alliances with friends, family, neighbours and/or co-workers to increase your chances of making it to the finale. You will have more chances to beat elimination as you pool together to share potential winnings.
• Remember you can purchase immunity to get your name back in the draw.

PRIZES

Prizes will be purchased AFTER the Survivors are selected so the winners will be able choose what they win.

• 1^st Prize: 50% of the wine / booze.
• 2^nd Prize: 30% of the wine / booze.
• 3^rd Prize: 20% of the wine / booze.

The winnings will be purchased on Dec 7^th. As we will be delivering the winnings, we ask that you be either reasonably close to Ottawa or have a plan in place to collect your winnings that weekend or the following week. We appreciate all the support!!!

We are excited to announce our 1^st set of volleyball tournaments.

Men’s will be on Saturday, November 30^th and Women’s will be on Sunday, December 1^st.
